                   A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRELIMINARY
                   INSTITUTIONAL PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
                   SUBMITTED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE AT
                   CHATTANOOGA ON A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 525
                   AND 529 OAK STREET, AND 516, 526, AND 534 VINE
                   STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF OAK
                   STREET AND THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF VINE STREET AT
                   HOUSTON STREET, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   BE IT RESOLVED ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 
CITY
         OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the preliminary Institutional 
         Planned Unit Development attached hereto as submitted by the
         University of Tennessee at Chattanooga be and the same is 
hereby
         approved for the following tract of land:
               
                A tract of land located at 525 and 529 Oak Street
                and the southwest line of Vine Street at Houston
                Street.  Lots 1-7 and part of lots 9 and 10,
                Hickman's Subdivision of the J.T. Thomasson and
                Atwell Thompson Lots in Block E, Long's Addition to
                Chattanooga, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 5, page 70, R.O.H.C., and lots 13-23, block E,
                Long's Addition to Chattanooga, not recorded, being
                the properties described in deed book 3772, page
                431, R.O.H.C., and deed book 3790, page 836,
                R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 145-D-H-1-3 and 12-13.
               
              	   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this approval shall be
         subject to the following conditions:

              1.   That portion of the preliminary PUD Plan requesting 
the
                   closure of Vine Street is denied.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
